Oh it’s 2012 and according to experts I have until 12/21 to fulfill all my hopes and dreams. Personally I don’t think any of us will get off so easy as knowing when the end of time is coming. Too much of a mystery to belong to the human mind and all that. So I achieved one of my goals last year and learned how to leave work behind a bit and have more of a personal life. The whole relationship thing?? Well I’ve been a commitment phobe for 40 years so I think the fact that I actually gave it serious thought and consideration was a big enough step. :^) I do think I have finally figured what I am and am not looking for and learned that although sometimes it does bother me that I am single it really has been the right thing for me. When I was younger I had the peace of knowing that I had to be true to myself and not settle for anything less than that one person who was perfect for me, not PERFECT, just perfect for me and if I didn’t find them so be it. I found that peace of belief again. Life will be what it will be and you just have to enjoy it for what it is.
I plan to do more things for myself this year, take care of myself for a change and do what I need to do to be happy. I want to go back to school, make sure I make time to see old friends instead of just brief comments on Facebook and the like. I used to pick a random subject that interested me and research and study the hell out of it just because, I’d like to do that again. I want to get back to the gym, not as some temporary attempt to lose weight but as a way to bring discipline and strength back into my life. It’s time for change. I’ve been reacting to what life throws at me for so long now I forgot I was once the type of person who made things happen for myself, who went after what I wanted with all I had win or lose. Guess I am looking at this as a year of possibilities. Been feeling a little bit of the old spark lately.

Happy New Year! Another one behind us and the new year is full of possibility and hope. I’ve spent the past ten years with work being my number one priority but think this year I may be ready to change that a bit. It will still always be in the “Top 3” because I don’t really know how to do anything half way, everything I involve myself in is sort of all or nothing but I think I am finally getting tired of being single and just may set out about changing that. Sort of a scary thought at this point in my life, I am pretty used to doing as I please when I please and never being accountable to any one else for it. Not to mention the only time in my life I went for the whole committed relationship thing it was the absolute worst of experiences. But we learn from these things right?, and I have always tried to confront that which I am most afraid of so here’s to courage, bravery and the adventure of the unknown.
The most positive and exciting thing for me will be getting back to living my life unfettered by the dreaded anxiety attacks. I think I have finally got them beat. For a while there even the sight of the smallest snowflake would set them off and I made it through a full on blizzard without having one. Trust me it’s a major accomplishment and feels absolutely awesome! Those stupid things can turn your whole world upside down and even at my worst I knew I was lucky because I was never as ruled by them as some other poor people I have seen go through it. I know I could have probably resolved the whole thing quite some time ago had I opted to take pills for it but that’s just not the route for me. I needed to know I could beat them, totally on my own and in doing so I can be confident that they won’t be coming back.
So last year I posted my 2010 Yearly Horoscope and decided I would review it periodically throughout the year to test the validity of such a thing. Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year! Wow this year went by quickly. Gasp! Only 7 months until 40 ewwwww! Yes that was the first thing I thought of.
So sitting here waiting for my nails to dry. Have to be spiffy for tomorrow night.
I currently have a serious case of buyer’s remorse and am looking for any possible way to get out of my new car lease. I should have sucked it up and payed a higher monthly payment for the Yukon but noooooo, I decided to be financially responsible for a change and went with the Acura MDX. Hate it! Don’t get me wrong it’s a good car but just not for me. I miss my GMC 🙁
Recently had one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. Day after the blizzard I’m driving on the NY State Thruway and some asshole throws a kitten out of the car right in front of me. I tried to swerve, threw myself into the unplowed lane but it wasn’t enough and I killed that little kitten. I keep seeing his little face, can’t sleep, cry every time I look at my cats. What kind of POS does something like that? I hope the bastard dies a slow, frightening and horrific death. Truly.
Works been good, this upcoming year should be pretty exciting. We are moving to our new office space next week. I am so drawing a blank on what to write here but I want to make one last post for the year.
On a personal note I have been thinking about a particular someone an awful lot lately. Usually when that happens they pop back into my life. It’s about time too. I’ll be sure to post on here the result of that.
So that’s it can’t think of anything else right now so I will bid farewell to 2010 and hope for the best in 2011. Happy and healthy New Year!

Wow 2010!
So it occurred to me that if I do this correctly I can perform a little experiment. Every year so many people, including myself read their horoscope for the upcoming year and it’s filled with love, wealth, and excitement. How many people actually ever refer back to it to see how right/wrong it was? So I am going to post mine here and follow it along for the next year. (I hope. I’ve not been very consistent with keeping this blog up-to-date.) Drumroll please…
Year 2010 Overview
One thing that all Crabs (astrological Cancers or the seafood type of crab) know deep in their hearts is that someone, somewhere out there knows how great it would be to bust them wide open and eat them with melted butter. The big news for you this year, Cancer, is that Pluto has moved into your Seventh House, which rules marriage, partnerships and close relationships. This means that someone may very well be cracking your heart open in the next year. Update… Nope not unless you count my new found obsession with Peter Steele.
Cancer has a bit of a reputation for enjoying doom and gloom. You don’t. You just seem to get more than your fair share of it. It must be that thick shell of yours. Everyone assumes you can just take it.
The good news is that you earned that reputation because you can take it, and more. And often, your greatest moments come when you have overcome the greatest obstacles. Thankfully, the roadblocks you face in 2010 won’t be that devastating, but they’ll certainly give you an opportunity to shine. New support and new energy will be entering your life from unexpected and overlooked people and things, and you’ll be able to soar above it all! Update …. Well this is sort of true. I definitely had some work related set backs but as it turned out got through it and it brought about the opportunity to work with some amazing people whose contributions exceeded even the original expectations!
Year 2010 Career
As far as your work life goes, 2010 divides up into two nice, clearly defined chunks: the first half of the year is going to present struggles, and the second half will see a boatload of new opportunities. January and February will be a lot of work — literally and figuratively — almost as if everyone ignored their jobs during the run up to Christmas, and then decided to drop everything on your desk. Although your relationships with co-workers may be strained at this time, it isn’t anything you can’t handle. Be careful not to drag too much of that work stress home with you to a partner, particularly in January. Rather than dwell on it, do your best to find a way to take that experience and use it to your benefit. Update… very true.
June and July will bring some exciting opportunities for advancement. You’ll be getting more recognition for your efforts, and the possibility of a raise is in store. If you don’t have a regularly scheduled salary review planned for that time, things may be going well enough that you might want to bring the subject up anyway. Even the seed of that notion planted then can take root later. March to May will urge you to really do something about your actual cash-on-hand situation. You’ll have both an increased drive to increase your security, and (paradoxically) the urge to overspend. Try to avoid “emotional overspending” during that time, and the rest of the year should work out for you. Update … well this is always true. I always make sure to have cash on hand and I am ever so good at spending it..lol!
Year 2010 Romantic
After a year in which you felt that you weren’t being heard — whether by a spouse, or your calls for an adequate mate went unanswered — things will be shaking loose in dramatic manner in 2010. Two eclipses this year will have a particular effect on your relationship with a partner. In January, an eclipse in your Partnership House will bring issues to the forefront. If you have an existing relationship, tensions that have been building will become unavoidable; and if you aren’t, you may suddenly find yourself more dissatisfied with that situation (or a new partner may suddenly come into your life). In either case, the more dramatic of the effects may be short-lived but will give you the opportunity to make some long-needed changes.
Pluto also continues its long journey though this department of your life, and Pluto demands change and transformation. Although this doesn’t necessarily mean bad news, it will certainly require that you address any issues between you and your partner, and — maybe more importantly — that you question within yourself what a committed relationship really means to you. Is it possible you’re in the right relationship for the wrong reason? Could you be in the wrong relationship for the right reason? Inner work can be difficult, especially when it involves another person, but ultimately it’s always worth doing in the long run.
As far as romance in general goes, however, it’s more a good year than a bad one. May and June in particular will see new romantic opportunities coming your way, and will pump new life into a current relationship. Update…. nope nope nope nope. Boring and uneventful was the romance department in my life for 2010.

Happy New Year! Hope it is a happy, prosperous, lucky and loved filled year for everyone.
Today’s clean slate day and I can’t wait to see what ends up written on mine this year. I slept through it all last night, didn’t even wake up from all the noise in the street. Passed out aound 9pm, felt like crap yesterday. But it’s all good feel great today.
I don’t really get into the whole New Year’s Resolution thing as I tend to think it puts to much pressure on you to stick to them and everyone keeps inquiring if you are sticking to them. Not for me. I did do something thinking today on what I can do to improve my life this upcoming year, what are the things I really need and want and I think I have a pretty good idea what they are and how I can start down the path of achieving and obtaining them. Time will tell.
